In the heart of the Douro wine region, in the village of Celeirós (municipality of Sabrosa) lies The Manor House Celeirós - the perfect place to experience authentic rural charm in the world’s oldest demarcated wine region.
The century-old estate Quinta Casal de Celeirós features a set of buildings which combine comfort and elegance. Over the years, the wine estate has adapted its facilities, surprising guests with The Manor House – once an agricultural support building, now renovated to include 12 comfortable rooms and an outdoor pool surrounded by vineyards. Adjacent to The Manor House we have Casa do Lagar, with an additional 7 bedrooms, a shared living room with its own kitchenette, also benefiting from access to the outdoor pool. The structure and décor evoke the wine estate’s winemaking heritage and reflect the authentic village life of Celeirós.
Casa das Pipas Restaurant, with vineyard views and traditional dishes, complements your stay and is a must-stop for visitors to the region. At the Casal de Celeirós Visitors’ Centre, generations-old wines are preserved with the same care as always. The estate is a privileged location for wine tasting, guided tours, and wine purchases.

Just 5 km from Sabrosa, Celeirós has been known since 1756 for its exceptional fortified wine and elevated position offering breathtaking views over the Valley of Pinhão.

Several manor houses of great architectural value can be found here, as well as two important examples of Custódias (monstrances) representative of Portuguese sacred art: the Custódia de Campainhas from the main parish church, and the 18th Century Custódia da Capela de S. Francisco.

We have two distinct types of accommodation: the main building, The Manor House, features 12 fully equipped bedrooms and an outdoor pool surrounded by the vineyard, and Casa do Lagar, a separate unit with 7 bedrooms, a shared living room, and a kitchenette. All guests, regardless of the accommodation chosen, can enjoy their breakfast in the main building’s living room and have access to the pool.
