There are encounters around the table that are born from a shared affinity for places, memories and ways of cooking. In this edition of Chef Milton Ferreira Invites, on 14th November, Casa das Pipas Restaurant welcomes Chef Óscar Geadas for an evening dedicated to the richness of Portuguese gastronomy.
The Douro, deeply rooted in Chef Milton Ferreira’s cuisine, meets Trás-os-Montes, the region that shaped Chef Óscar Geadas’s journey. Two chefs, two interpretations, and the same appreciation for produce, provenance and traditions passed down through generations.
Born in Vinhais, Chef Óscar Geadas brings the flavours of Trás-os-Montes to a contemporary cuisine centred on place and produce. Named Revelation Chef 2018 by Revista de Vinhos and awarded a Michelin Star since 2019 at G Restaurante, his cooking places particular emphasis on fish, seafood and vegetables.
The event begins at 7:30 pm with a welcome drink, followed by a multi-course dinner, with each creation paired with a carefully selected wine chosen to highlight its individual character.
For those wishing to begin the experience earlier, at 6:30 pm there will be the opportunity to visit the Casal de Celeirós Visitor’s Centre, including a guided tour and a commented Moscatel wine tasting on the panoramic terrace, before continuing on to dinner.
With limited availability, this will be a unique opportunity to enjoy a special late afternoon and dinner bringing together two regions deeply connected to gastronomy and hospitality.
For those wishing to extend their stay in the Douro, The Manor House Celeirós, located close to one of the restaurant entrances, offers a peaceful stay among the vineyards, complete with breakfast in one of the region’s most emblematic villages.
